Galeano Electrical Ltd was founded in 2015 by David Galeano - an electrical engineer (BEngTechElec) , registered electrician and electrical inspector with more than 15 years experience in various electro-mechanical roles within the apparel manufacturing sector overseas; and the plastic, food, seafood and winery sectors here in New Zealand.
David started his career in 2002 working for Leonisa S.A, Colombia - a leader in apparel manufacturing in Latin America. There he gained estimation, design and commissioning experiences for all electrical aspects.
In 2011, David finished his Degree (BEngTechElec) in Electromechanical Engineering at Metropolitan Technical Institute in Colombia. Following his degree, he decided to move to New Zealand where he extended his education in Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications in Auckland, 2012.
David's first employer in New Zealand was RX Plastics Ltd in Ashburton. He worked as the company's only support Electrical Manager, Electrical Engineer and Industrial Electrician. He developed a variety of projects within the company and his role involved estimation, design and commissioning of new machinery for PE department, capacity estimations for new 2000 kva transformer, estimation and identification of new main switch and MCBs for machinery protection, commissioning, calculation and installation for new extruder (750 kw), new dryer (250 kw), new chiller (160 kw), saw machinery, haul off, tanks (250 kw).
Later, David moved to an Electrical Supervisor role for Silver Fern Farms where he was responsible for the everyday leadership and direction of the electricians at Fairton. David managed staff to achieve specification, electrical compliance, health and safety targets by adhering to company procedures, policies and professional requirements.
In July 2014, David moved to Marlborough to join Boyd Wilson Electrical Ltd. He worked as an Industrial Electrician supporting different processes for clients in the seafood processing and viticulture sectors.
David decided in early 2015 to branch out on his own and founded the company, Galeano Electrical Ltd. He is looking forward to supporting you with solutions to all your electrical demands in each market sector - Industrial, Commercial and Domestic.
When he's not overseeing the day-to-day running of the business or getting his hands dirty with client work; David loves playing sports and enjoying outdoor activities such as swimming, fishing, scuba diving, tennis and golf. He is a big fan of motor-sports and enjoys travelling.
David is a highly motivated and hard-working person, who is able to adapt quickly to new working environments. Rest assured that, with him at the helm of Galeano Electrical Ltd, your industrial, commercial or residential electrical needs will be well taken care off!

Our new Office Lady who is going to help us with all the paperwork, receiving calls and organize our jobs. Originally from Colombia, she is a highly motivated and hardworking person.

RODOLFO
Chilean born Rodolfo has been living in New Zealand over 10 years. Most of his career he has been working in industrial sector, such as wineries or mussel factories.
His main characteristic is enthusiasm. Rodolfo is a great cook and dancer. He also enjoys travelling around the world when having a time.
